EDITORIAL INTERN

Gain valuable work experience and produce professional clips while in school or recently graduated through an internship at Inside Business.

Inside Business is looking for editorial interns for Fall 2008 (Sept through Dec), Winter/Spring 2009 (Jan through May) and Summer 2009 (May through Sept). The deadline for Fall is Aug. 29, 2008; Winter/Spring applications are due Dec. 11, 2008; Summer applications are due April 2, 2009.

The internships are unpaid, but can often receive college credit depending on their school. The internships range from 16 to 32 hours a week.

Responsibilities:
Duties include fact checking, researching, writing and some clerical work for Inside Business magazine, as well as West Shore magazine and Valley Magazine, two custom consumer publications published by the Inside Business staff.

Qualifications:
Student must have a background in journalism, communications or non-fiction writing. We’re looking for bright student journalists or recent graduates with experience at their college newspapers and magazines. Ideal candidates will also have a flair for magazine-style feature writing. Candidates must be well-organized, reliable and resourceful.

Candidates must live or go to college in the Cleveland area (Akron or Kent included).
